It’s hard to know which growth curve to use on this. Different surveys have yielded different numbers of total blogs. I’ll go for the evening of October 5, 2004.
Tangentially, the October Surprise could add an additional two hundred thousand if it’s well produced.

Hi, Jon. Very fun post.
I’m doing my calculations for the Blogcount and I’m having a hard time figuring out (a) how much does T miss, (b) how many blogs inside the intranet that are invisible without careful permission, and (c) T’s false-positives (news feeds that just look like blogs; duplicate hits, etc.). I wonder if T is catching non-English blogs (especially the whole double-byte world) and the very large diary/journal space.
