I have been mulling a re-designing of my blog for quite a while .. more than a year, maybe merging my site (which I don’t really use) with my blog. And I have a couple of ideas that I think are good … and I wouldn’t mind some input, some help.
If anyone is willing or interested to exchange a bit with me, please feel free to contact me.

The current design is nice and clean, Jon. I like it much more now that that flash based instant messaging is gone. That aside, are you looking for something that displays more personality, or perhaps some visual illustrations of wirearchy? Visual appeal can be bandwidth intensive, which makes dial up connecters cranky, but it does help promote writing that might otherwise be overlooked. I mentioned uggabugga’s graphs on the Tutor’s blog the other day. Many, many people find them very helpful.
One thing you could do right away would be placing a link to your main site on this blog page.

Thanks for the offer, tris, and for the encouragement, harry.
What I have in mind (and have had for a while) is to take some of the imagery from my wirearchy.com site, and some of the content, and use it on my blog … integratethe two, if you will.
I have been thinking of taking the org-chart-invaded-by-the-filaments-and-tendrils of the web grphic that introduces my short flash thingy, and making it (faded) as background, and doing the same, somehow, in another appropriate place, the global-connectedness graphic that is the site’s header).
Then, I want to create sections (categories I guess) that contain some of my short essays, as well as a section ofr sections where I can track and chronicle all of the examples and prognostications of the ongoing shift to a two-way (or as someone once offered me) the “n-way” dyanmic flow of power and control.
So that it actually seems to a reader that I 1) know a bit about all this, and 2) am actually somewhat serious about it.

Jon,
All those plans sound great. Personally I got rid of my “traditional” website by porting the content over and having my http://www. point to my blog (in addition to blog.)
All of those customizations can be done without too much trouble. I’d start with categories. It’s easiest.

I second Tris’ thoughts. It will look really good and be very reader-friendly when it’s done.
