Treating people like thieves presumptively encourages thievery. Rather than projecting their own dishonesty onto their customers and potential customers, more attention to producing high quality might turn into a moneymaker. There are always going to be dishonest or lazy people who want something for nothing, but most people don’t object to rewarding creators with money. Pressure groups incapable of earning a living save from exploiting others deserve no sympathy.
