I am still lamenting (and cursing) the loss of almost a whole summer’s swimming due to the months-long strike of Vancouver municipal workers.
I only got in about 15 swims in this, my favourite swimming pool, before it closed, as it turned out for the duration of the summer.
That’s me with my left arm coming out for the next stroke …

I feel your pain! This summer with surgery and the 100 degree months, I hardly saw the pool.
Hope your spring comes soon!

that’s trouble
with a capital T
and that rhymes with P
and that stands for Pool
Now see, if you have been wasting your youth at the pool HALL you would have a good strong right arm and a gut down to your knees, but at least no disruption in your fitness regime.

There’s no trouble here, Earl. You haven’t been by to cause any.
Had you been, and especially in my youth, no doubt we’d both have large waistlines and sharp eyes.
